Volunteer Nanaimo is a non-profit charity dedicated to fostering volunteerism in the Nanaimo region. Since 1979, we’ve connected thousands of individuals with meaningful volunteer opportunities within our community, supporting over 800 non-profit and community-based organizations. We’re a collective of compassionate individuals working together to offer help, support, and mentorship through volunteering.

Volunteer Nanaimo strengthens our community by supporting non-profit organizations and individuals through a variety of programs and services.
Tax Services
Trained volunteers provide essential tax services for individuals with low or fixed incomes, including those receiving pensions, disability benefits, or who are unemployed.
Seniors – Silver Adventures Café
Games, crafts, guest speakers, music, & cultural events for seniors. Enjoy a cup of coffee, tea and snacks.
Youth
Watchdog Computer Services
We offer technical support to non-profit agencies and individuals within our community. This includes computer repair, software upgrades, network setup, malware removal, and computer upgrades. Volunteers also provide instruction and advice for technology users.
Autism Library
Lending Library on behalf of Autism Society of Central Vancouver Island (ASCVI). We have approximately 250 books, games & DVDs for children, adults, parents or teachers.
