Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) is looking for a community representative to join the Fisheries and Oceans Pacific Region Animal Care Committee for a 2 to 4-year term. Animal Care Committees review and approve proposals from DFO scientists to use live animals in their research to ensure the use of animals is justified, ethical and uses the best and lease invasive methods available. The community member will be required to read and discuss the proposals from their perspective as a member of the Canadian public. Training will be provided.
