Nanaimo Hospice Thrift Shoppe is looking for help with their Tool Bench. A volunteer for this position would test lamps and appliances, look over the tools and fix small things. They would also empty garbage, assist in the metal and appliance recycling, help load customer purchases and process donations. A Criminal Record Check is required; however, reimbursement is offered after the first shift. Shifts are 4 hours long, from 9AM to 1PM and from 12:30 to 4:30; available shifts are Monday, Tuesday afternoon and Saturday. Strong English and communication, customer service, problem solving skills are necessary, as well as attention to detail.
