A volunteer for this position would be picking up donations from around the community and dropping them off at Haven Society, as well as helping to organize the basement donations, if needed. The volunteer can choose to use their own vehicle, or the use of Haven’s van can be arranged. The volunteer must be able to lift up to 50 lbs at a time, have training or be aware of safe lifting practices, and have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and be able to provide a driver’s abstract. Completion of a short, online Haven volunteer training module and an interview are required. An RCMP Criminal Record Check is required and is paid for by the agency.
