Special Event Volunteers
Arrowsmith Lodge is looking for event volunteers for the monthly Outing with Residents program. This includes going to the beach for picnics, exploring outdoor spaces, going out for lunch, and more. There are also outdoor music events where volunteers can help set up, take down, keep an eye on the residents, and enjoy the music.
Volunteers for this position would need the ability to work in the heat, lift folding chairs and to interact with the residents and keep an eye on them. For the outings, you would possibly be driving yourself to the locations. There will be an orientation for new volunteers.
One-on-One Volunteers
Volunteers are required to interact with the residents. They can share a hobby/skill, such as playing an instrument, play cards/games, read to the residents, and go for walks with them. Volunteers can come whenever they are able to, as there are no set times for this volunteer position. Patient, respectful and kind volunteers are needed.
Garden Volunteers
Volunteers are needed who are interested in helping to maintain the gardens, especially during the hot summer. Ideally, Interested volunteers would come in once a week or whenever they are available. Gardeners are needed to help with watering, weeding, planting, picking and anything else you would like to do in the garden. Volunteers would be working in the heat (but there are lots of shaded areas in the garden). There will be an orientation session, so volunteers of all experiences are welcome.
