Resident Companion One to One Visitors

A Resident companion spends quality time with individuals who may benefit from personal conversation, shared activities or simply a friendly presence.  Your time and attention can make the world of difference in someone’s day. A volunteer Resident Companion would engage in activities based on the interests of the residents such as chatting, reading aloud, playing cards, looking at photo albums, gentle walks, listening to music, etc. Warm, patient, empathetic and reliable volunteers are needed, with good listening skills. Experience with older adults or dementia care is an asset (training is provided). A Criminal Record Check is required and is paid for by the agency.
