Reception/Parking Permit Processing
NDRC requires volunteers to greet walk-in clients, answer phones, take messages and process Parking Permit applications. This volunteer position is 3 hours per week, from 9AM to noon or from 12:30 Pm to 3:30 PM; NDRC currently has vacancies for most AM and PM shifts. Due to the training required, a time commitment of 6 months is appreciated. All training is provided, and support staff will be nearby for help. Organizational skills, attention to detail and basic computer skills are an asset.
Office Administration
NDRC requires volunteers to greet walk-in clients, answer phones, take messages, and process Parking permit applications. This volunteer position is 3 hours per week, from 9AM to noon or from 12:30 to 3:00PM. NDRC currently has vacancies for most AM and PM shifts. Basic computer skills, organizational abilities, and the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, depending on the task (can customize to volunteer’s abilities and interests) are required. Due to the training required, a time commitment of 6 months is required.
Computer and Technology School
A volunteer for this position would help clients understand how to use their phones, laptops and printers, as well as trouble shoot technology challenges they are facing, such as how to order online. This is a flexible position – no time commitment required, as clients make appointments.
Excellent interpersonal skills in a one-on-one environment are required, as well as intermediate computer skills according to clients’ needs.
