Hey! My name is Cam Sim, and I’ve been with Volunteer Nanaimo since June 2021. I started volunteering as a way to make more connections within the Nanaimo community and to find fun, new opportunities. As the resident Volunteer Nanaimo photographer, you’ll often find me taking photos at our volunteer events. I also love to play guitar and use that skill to offer free lessons for our youth. Outside of work, I’m passionate about film photography, rock climbing, and music.

Annie Theisen
Hello, I’m Anni Thesen, and I have been a Youth Program Coordinator at Volunteer Nanaimo since May 2022. Originally from Germany, I made Nanaimo my home in 2019. Volunteering, for me, is a way to connect with others, meet inspiring individuals, and experience our community. I empower youth to participate in meaningful community projects and guide them as they lead events that matter to them. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends, including a game of dodgeball, and exploring the outdoors through camping and hiking.
